Starting at the age of 13 when he worked for Jim Jenson’s state senate campaign in Nebraska through his years at the University of Kansas, Kellen has been very interested in politics. He was a member of the KUnited party at KU and actively participated in political campaigns in addition to helping with fundraising efforts for various state and local candidates in Lawrence. He currently resides in Overland Park and is a Manager at the Flyer Saucer Draught Emporium in the Power and Light District.

Jim Thornton - Treasurer
Jim is a graduate of Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Jim’s career has progressed with moves to multiple locations throughout the Midwest including Des Moines, Omaha, South Bend, and in 2008: Johnson County. Currently, Jim is a Corporate Sales Manager for MHC Kenworth. Being a Conservative has been a major part of Jim’s life since college, and he joined JCYR in 2010.

Ryan Partee - Vice Chair of Membership
Ryan is a native and lifelong resident of Fairway in Johnson County Kansas as well as an active supporter of Republican politics his entire life starting when former Senator Nancy Kassebaum spoke during his third grade class. He has worked on political campaigns for Republican candidates in the past including Kansas State Representative Al Lane and for Republican candidates in Missouri. In 2000, Ryan worked at Republican National Conventions for former President Bush in Philadelphia. Ryan attended Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri and received a B.A. degree in International Studies and worked for the U.S. Marines Corps in 1999 upon graduating from college and currently works for Fox, Partee & Nigro law firm. Ryan enjoys volunteering and support civic and arts organizations in his free time, including the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art , Kansas City Symphony, Kansas City Ballet, Kansas City Opera, Kansas City Library, American Cancer Society, Salvation Army, Episcopal Church, Catholic Charities, Guadelupe Center, El Centro, Kansas City Zoo, Denver Zoo, Saint Louis Zoo and Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center.

Brandon graduated from Creighton University in 2008 with his Bachelor's in Marketing and a co-major in Political Science. While still in college, Brandon interned on Capitol Hill for Sen. Sam Brownback in 2006, served as statewide volunteer coordinator for Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman's successful 2006 election campaign, and has since managed and consulted for several federal and state legislative campaigns. A Shawnee native, Brandon continues to be extremely active in Kansas politics and most recently served as a district staffer for U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran of Kansas. Currently, Brandon is Manager of Media and Analytics for AMC Entertainment, Inc.
